Est. 2009
Merlin's was established in 2009 by Jessica Odell. I have many years of experience working with animals, including volunteering at the Tallahassee Animal Shelter and boarding and pet sitting animals before I turned it into an actual business. In my family, I have eight dogs, a cat, a ferret, and a fish! If anyone knows how to care for and love multiple animals, it's me! My dogs are Jimi and Zoey, who are the proud parents of Autumn and Teddy. They are long-haired Chihuahuas. Then there is Bear- a Rottweiler mix, Jazzy- a German Shepard mix, Nala- a Pit Bull, and Merlin- a Bull Terrier. He is the newest addition to the family, and it's his face that you see in our logo! He definitely lives up to their goofy and stubborn reputation! My cat is Zeppelin and he thinks he is one of the dogs! And, Meeka, my ferret, enjoys sleeping in her hammock. Last, but not least is Spykes, my beta fish, and what can I say...he goes with the flow. I started this business for many reasons, but foremost because I love animals. I love being around them on a daily basis and building lifelong relationships with my clients and their pets! I try to incorporate health in the visits by providing each animal with exercise as well as giving them some social time while you are away. Above all, I put every animals needs first and treat them as one of my own. They are all a part of the family! The daycare and boarding facility is now open! I run it right out of my home, which means there's no leaving in the evening and returning in the morning. Your babies are with me 24/7. Talk about comfort!
